The Kasserman is a boutique apartment building located in Denver. It is high-end with bold clean lines and refined finishes. It is warm, inviting, modern and sophisticated. While working at EBD, I was tasked to name the apartment building and create the brand identity.

The Logo

Given the history of the carpentry shop, I felt Kasserman’s brand identity needed to represent this in some way. I designed a custom logotype and icon that reflected the inside of the building as well as the history with clean, bold lines and carpentry angles.

The Name

When naming a business I like to first look into the history. I was so lucky in finding a map of Denver neighborhoods from 1879. On the exact cross streets of the new buildings, the location was a neighborhood name: Kasserman’s. Digging deeper into that, I found that Kasserman’s was an old carpentry shop which is what the neighborhood was named after. It just felt so right: The Kasserman.
